Project Details
Refinancing of the non-recourse long-term debt financing under the CTFA, originally dated 3rd October 2016, in relation to the project financing of Rentel N.V., the special purpose company that is developing, building and now operating the 308.7MW Rentel Offshore Wind Project. The project comprises 42 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 wind turbine generators (“WTGs”) and one offshore high voltage substation platform (“OSS”) occupying a surface area of 20.47 km2 in average water depths of 30 metres, located 42 kilometres from the Belgian coast between the operational C-Power Thornton Bank & Northwind Offshore Wind Farms, (Zuidwest-Schaar between Thornton Bank and LodewijkBank) outside Belgian territorial waters in the Belgian exclusive economic interest zone.

Project Description:
Liwei Wind Power Company Limited’s 350 MW Guanyin offshore wind project in Taoyuan County, 3km offshore in the Taiwan Strait (a WPD owned Project).

Total Project Cost envisaged to be about NTD 59 billion and financing is to be arranged on a non-recourse basis with a debt to equity ratio of 75:25. Debt financing of NTD 44 billion (excluding ancillary facilities) is expected to be provided by a consortium of international commercial banks and local Taiwanese banks on a covered and uncovered basis.

Innogy Kaskasi GmbH’s Kaskasi 342MW Offshore Wind Farm Project

Project Description:
Innogy Kaskasi GmbH (currently a 100% subsidiary of Innogy SE (“Innogy”) that by Financial Close is anticipated to be owned by several shareholders with Innogy retaining a minority share) for the development, construction, commissioning and operation of the 342MW Kaskasi Offshore Wind Farm Project.

The project consists of wind turbine generator (“WTGs”), founded on monopiles in water depths of 18 to 25 metres at lowest astronomical tide, an offshore high voltage direct current (“HVDC”) 35kV / 155kV substation including topside, substructure of the topside, monopile foundation and all accessories (“OSS”) connected to the grid on the HelWin2 HVDC Substation.

The Kaskasi offshore windfarm is located adjacent to Innogy SE’s Nordsee Ost and Amrumbank West offshore wind parks, located in the HelWin cluster in the German North Sea, in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Germany, bounded by the Netherlands and Germany to the south, and Denmark and Germany to the east, approximately 45km from shore.

857MW Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm (“TKOWF”)

Project Details:
£2 billion Triton Knoll offshore wind farm project in the U.K. Greater Wash area of the southern North Sea comprising 90 MHI Vestas turbines of 9.525 MW each. A 15-bank lending syndicate is providing around £1.75 billion of debt for the project which has an expected P50 output of 3.5 TWh per annum and a capacity factor of 47.7%. It will connect via a 59-kilometre cable route to the existing National Grid substation at Bicker Fen in Lincolnshire.
In mid-August 2018, Japan’s J-Power and Kansai Electric Power agreed to acquire a 25% stake and a 16% share, respectively, in Triton Knoll.

Project Details:
Long term debt project financing of Formosa 2 Wind Power Co., Ltd’s TWD 62.4bn (Capex: USD 2,041,000,000) 376MW offshore windfarm.
Development, construction, ownership, commissioning, operation, maintenance and management of the Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm, a 376MW offshore wind power generation facility and related infrastructure in an area of 68.81 km2, located in water ranging from 35 metres to 55 metres depth, sited 3.8 kilometres to 9.5 kilometres distant from the coast bordering Zhunan and Houlong, near Chunan Town, Miaoli Country, to the north of Taichung City on the north-western coast of Taiwan.
Macquarie owns 75% of the project, while Taiwanese developer Swancor Renewable owns 25%. Japan’s JERA recently won an auction for 49% of Formosa 2.

Seamade N.V. Offshore Wind Farm

Project Details:
EUR1.3 billion Long term debt project financing (including EUR250 million loan from the European Investment Bank, and funding from Danish credit export agency EKF) of a 487.2MW Offshore Wind Project comprising 58 Siemens SG-8.0-167 wind turbine generators (“WTGs”) and two offshore high voltage substation platforms (“OSS”).
The project occupies two separate areas dedicated for offshore energy projects in the Belgian territorial sea, between the Lodewijkbank and the Blighbank, in the Belgian exclusive economic interest zone approximately 38 kilometres and 50 kilometres north east of the Belgian coast in the North Sea.
One, with 30 WTGs, has a surface area of 19.54 km2 for 252MW (“the Seastar Wind Farm”) and the other, with 28 WTGs, a surface area of 17 km2 for 235.2MW (“the Mermaid Wind Farm”) in average water depths ranging from 20 to 42 metres.

Project Description:
Long term debt project financing of the design, construction, commissioning, testing, ownership, operation and maintenance of the 100MWe Redstone Molten Salt Tower 100MW CSP greenfield independent power project (“IPP”). The project consists of a new concentrated solar power (“CSP”) plant which is the subject of a generation license under the IPP programme for generation of electrical energy to be dispatched under a 20 year Power Purchase Agreement from COD with Eskom Holdings (acting for the Government of South Africa).

It has a projected output of ~470 GWh per annum using a 360 degree heliostat field (~1,100,000 m2) with a ~250m tall tower. The plant is to be built over a surface area of ~600 ha on a portion of the Humansrus Farm (No. 469) situated approximately 30 kilometers north-east of the town of Postmasburg, ~500 kilometres from Johannesburg, in the Tsantsabane Local Municipality, Siyanda District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.

The Project involves a total investment cost of approximately ZAR11,800,000,000 (~USD790,000,000 based on foreign exchange rates of 1 USD: ~15 ZAR and 1 Euro: ~17 ZAR).
