Telecommunications and Space

Primarily supporting COFACE and EDC, in Q3 2017 we currently act on 5 telecommunication projects in process to financial close (FC). We act on 7 separate financings post FC in various stages pre-launch through LEO (e.g Iridium NEXT Generation) to geostationary satellites (e.g. 2, Hispasat 30W-5, Amazonas-3, Amazonas-5, Hispasat 1-F, Hispasat AG-1)

RENEWABLE SECTOR

Offshore Wind
In Q3 2017, we currently act on 3 offshore wind mandates pre-financial close, one German and two in the United Kingdom. Post FC, in Q3 2017 we currently act on 9 mandates in construction: Racebank (UK), Norther (Belgium), Rentel (Belgium), Beatrice (UK), Galloper (UK), Nordegrunde (D), Veja Mate (D), Nordsee One (D), Westermeerwind (NL), and we act, post construction, on Butendiek (D), Baltic 2 (D), Westermost Rough (UK), Gunfleet Sands 2 & 3 (UK) and the Gemini Project (NL) – the largest offshore financing to date (EUR 2.7bn). Experienced on Belgian, German, French, Netherlands, US and UK transactions. We draw from experience acting on most project financings involving construction risk to reach financial close globally from Prinses Amalia (Q7) in 2006 until July 2017.

Onshore Wind:
In Q3 2017, we act on two onshore wind mandates pre-financial close, one in UK, one in Egypt (262MW). Post FC, we have 12 onshore wind mandates including the two largest Dutch onshore wind projects (NOP Agrowind and Krammer), and 10 separate mandates in the UK.

Solar
In Q3 2017, we act on a 100MW CSP (Power Tower) in RSA. Post FC, we act on a 50MW CSP (Parabolic Trough) Project also in RSA and the 52MW SHAMS ground mounted PV Project in Jordan and a couple of solar PV projects in the UK.

Energy From Waste/Biomass/Bio Energy
In Q3 2017, we remain mandated post FC on a portfolio of Energy from Waste AD Projects.

POWER

In Q3 2017, post FC, we act on 6 mandates including Fadhili CCGT (Saudi Arabia), 4000MW Qurayyah IPP (Saudi Arabia), Azzour North Phase 1 (first IWPP and first JBIC financing in Kuwait, 1,539MW, 107 MIGD), the Gdf Suez Mirfa IWPP (UAE), Marubeni’s three Co-gen Projects for Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia) and the Kirikkale CCGT in Turkey.
